Happy Mother's Day

Here is a very nice poem for the MIL in your life- if your hubby "forgot" his mom.

You are the other mother I received,
the day I wed your son.
And I just want to thank you, mom,
For the loving things you've done.
You've given me a gracious man,
with whom I share my life.
You are his lovely mother,
and I his lucky wife!
You use to pat his little head,
And now I hold his hand.
You raised in love a little boy,
and then gave me the man.

This town is too small ffor your fat head and my religion

I doubt if this post will ever make it past the draft stage. I am not sure I can post it without reprocussions and backlash associated with living in each other's back pockets. And working at the school.

I just can not saying anything; I am so mad at the non-mormon element in this town. Why is it that everytime people get together for a function and those people happen to be mormon that those who are not blame the town for catering to them?

Case in point today:

The Gila temple is having an open house. Anyone who wants to travel to safford can go and view inside before we dedicate it and close the doors to the public. I encourage anyone who has any strong feeligns about he mormons to go and see what it is like. People shouldn't make judgements about the things they don't know about. Go. Learn. See. There is nothing to hide.

What you shouldn't do is run your mouth and gossip.

Don't slander

Don't get mad and use your guilt about how your life has not turned out to blame the "mormons' for doing secret things. For what are we really doing?

Random parents have choosen a 1/2 day at the local high school to take thier children to this once in a life time opportunity. Some may never have a chance to see it again. IF nothing else, it is a nice ride down to great weather to see a beautiful building.

We are not asking for favors, nor are we asking for permission. It is every parent's right to take thier kid out of school- although not advisiable. when they want. It would be no different than 30 kids going to the dr today as far as the school is concerned

The school is not sneaking anything off the school grounds for private secret mormon use, they are not issuing "I" excuses they are not sponsoring this in any way.

So all you out there with an opinion on this 1. get informed! 2. get a life 3. get over your self and the problems you have with the mormon church

we are not out to get you or force you to be one of us. Gees we are too busy to try to convert the unwilling. And with Your attitude, we don't want you. Well, at least I dont' want you it is more about quailty than quanitity.

baptism Part 2 a little better or why do things take so long?

Really, I guess I don't plan well. I loaded up a truck with the items I meant to take to the dump and wow did it take more time than I wanted and then even though you can be in the dump at 4:45, the dump master won't even let you enter the gates at 4:45 so for those who are going to the dump in the future really you need to be there by 4. grrh at him. I drove back. Wasted time Wasted gas.

Then I tried to hang curtain rods. No wonder I live in a yard sale. uggh so hard. I got the rods opened and put together and the pencil marks on the wall. I opened the curtains and REJOICE they were the exact color. Do I know my reds or what? Lucky me.

I folded clothes, made dinner- grilled elk steaks, broccoli, bread N butter, and mac N cheese, did 2 more loads of laundry and then it was magically 10pm. Went to bed after a shower. Up at 5:10 to make lunches, work out (GO P90X core work) for 35 minutes and then our day begins again.

Today there is dance practiceand a little league game. Plan on elk roast, carrots, potatoes and rolls. It is in the crock pot. Who knows if I get to the curtains tonight. I have to move the desk in and the table, entertainment center, and baby stuff out to the garage TO-night!

I got a text that I could do the baptism talk at Kennedy's baptism. As much as I feel for the person doing it- no way. I don't have time to take it on when someone else has the assignment. I am behind as it is. Thank goodness Kennedy is not the only one getting baptised. I would be crazier! I thought would hate the combined baptism- not when I found out what it takes to put one one. I still ahve to dig through the picture and stuff in case I need to do something girly. By the way, I have to call about the baptism outfit today! Mental and phone reminder- check.

Baptism Prep day 1

Was mostly a flop. Unless you count an hour or less of pulling weeds in my front yard.

I had a 5 day plan that included me taking a 1/2 day off work and 1 trip to showlow for touch up paint and meal supplies.

Monday I was going to the dump and hanging curtains and rods that I bought on Saturday.( the the things that I am putting up is a whole other story involving two conversatons with my hubby and one with my sister) That didn't happen. We went to Showlow,; didn't get paint. I picked out two samples that I thought were the same color but didn't dare get them. What we did do was see a movie and have dinner. Went to Walmart and stood in a ginormous line until I thought that no one would notice if I just left the cart the kids and the hubby and drive off to Mexico or some other land accessable beach-alone. We got the paper products for this weekend. That is it. No moving or putting away anything.

Tuesday- have to go to the dump and move extra funiture to the garage and workout and hang curtains. I am not sure I am goging to get that done> Pray for me.

The trouble with PPPPPP

My dad use to have a saying that I don't often use. However, today it is really true. PPPPPP.

Prior Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance.

I hated it when he use to say that. It usually meant that we didn't do something right and had to go back, undo it, and do it correctly.

As the end of the school year winds down it feels like the down swoop of a rollar coaster ride. All the activities seem to pile up and make me rush faster and faster while we all are screaming in delight with our hands in the air for the exciting end of the school ride. It seems to take less time to finish the last month then it did to finish the first month. In an effort to get all things in, often things are just crammed in, shot at teachers and students like a scatter gun. I can't figure out why more people don't pull out a calandar from last year to help with the current year's work. And I KNOW things come up, hello I am a teacher.

Stuff comes up.

I get that.

(that is not what I am saying. )

It is the Prior Planning part that is killing me today. I have been thrown an activity that was not explained well (and maybe I am an idiot but I can't have someone come into my classes try to talk about stuff at me while I am frantically try to get class time in and then run off -cause that is how I felt it happened) , not planned for well (hey I just got this let's do this before the end of the year adn oh yea the one day is really two for you did I forget to tell you that? he he, opps:)) , and then I find out that I have more work to complete it than anyone else involved (cause it is too hard for the otehre teaches involved to make sure kids fill some information about themselves before they start testing) . It didn't even have to be that way. I am mad about it. It takes time out of my rollar coaster ride race to the finish.

Grrhh.

No, let me rephrase that. " gggggggggggggggggRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Cause then I find out that I didn't have to be the one to do the extra work. It was just dumped on me becasue Hey,youhaveallthestudentswhycan'tyouhavethemdothisinclasswhenyouhaveextratime...!!!"""Grrhh. I also have the most to cover with two disiplines in one -reading and writing.

"PPPPPP" people.... "PPPPPP" That would help me out a lot. But what do I know I just teach.

Menu Monday that should have been posted last Wednesday

I will get it done maybe even this week! Thursday is the day that Wilburs has their big sale so my gola is to have my menus posted and plan including the shopping list by the previous Wednesday.
Not so last week.

Menus for this week are as follows:
Hamburgers

Ha maybe this I will update this evening. Hopefully. but maybe not. Need to have a crock pot dinner on Wednesday due to dance and a baseball game _ probabally the pot roast thing.

I also need to prep for a baptism on this weekend and spiff up my house. It looks like a yard sale I think.

Grateful for a pandemic: it's my best life
