Christmas

Can I make a confession? Well, I am going to even if you don't want to hear it.

I hate Christmas...

WHeeW, There I said it.

And I don't feel guilt about it,
and you can't make me.

I am not talking about the Christ in christmas stuff, I am talking about the budgeting for the crappy cheap gifts that you try to pon off as proof of love.

I would so rather give service. I could use 1 day a month of a cleaning service or a painter finish my painting.
The crappy cheap junk? I can buy that stuff for myself.

OH, well
(sigh .....)

I will contiue to barrell through big lots and wal mart looking for meaning.
Don't feel sorry for me I have made my peace with it. I will some day change the world and my family's mind into giving service too.

Look at Ma Pies!! and Happy Thanksgiving

I am not a baker, cook or anything. I will eat if I cook it- I am not picky.

However, I am married to a picky eater.
He is the worst kind of picky eater- the one who claims he will eat anything, but rates most dishes he eats in the 4-6 range.

You can see how I have no real incentive to be a better cook. Who could go through that much intensive newspaper food critic critique to be better.

Ok

really I just don't like to cook or the mess it makes.
It wouldn't matter if Scott was picky or not.
I have not acquired the patience and joy cooking brings. Some of you may know how it is... or.... maybe you don't.

ANYWAY I did not ask my mom to help, but she showed up,

after I called her 3 times...

Later, When we went to eat, I realized that I am pRouD of my pies. The crust was flaky and thin and aWeSomE!. It was how PiE should be. It could use sugar on the crust, but that is a matter of opinion. The apple could use more sugar too. But I will get there. They were so good, that it makes me want to perfect the pie making and be the one who brings the pies.

so HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL YOU.

On this day of thanks, I want to express my gratitude for my blessings. I am so grateful for what I have especially in this time of trouble. I have so much more than I deserve and I want to express my gratitude. Words can not describe accurately the feelings inside. I only wish I could describe them so that someone reading this could feel the deep emotions I am feeling right now. I guess I will be left with the consolation that someone will know how I feel if they feel that way too.

Grateful for a pandemic: it's my best life

As I lie in my bed on day 45 of stay safe stay home, reducing the curve with masks, I am brought to tears with gratitude, over again, for th...
