My house is a wreck and I hate my closet.

So after being gone for a week, I have forgotten how to clean my own home. I know that sounds funny, but I can't get it together. So glad that Scott is being understanding about it. I am going to try really hard today to get it done becasue tomorrow is D-day. Damnit, Darn Dudes and Dudettes.

Out of Jail... Whoo Hoo!

Dad and Wesie night 2 or 3

After spending a week in confinement,-they had a sign on the door to Wesie's hospital room that if you came you had to wear gloves, mask, and gown- we are finally released!!! I feel set free from prison (so I can imagine). I can't breathe enough fresh air. The Lord must have know we were getting out today because we are blessed with a "sunshiny" Indian summer day.

Kennedy and Wesie day 5
Going back to the terms of confinement-if people coming in had to protect from Wesie, why was I allowed to be in there and do I have what he has now? After extensive "poop" cultures and blood tests, the dr. decided that it was viral, VIRAL??? Seriously, 10 days of intensive stomach cramping, not eating, crying, no sleep virus. I know which one of us went to med school and has practiced medicine for 47 years, but the person who didn't thinks it was NOT a virus. No one in my family esp. me is sick.
I went over Saturday and stayed. I came home Sunday to pack, shower, sleep and get the week ready for MNH- Mom Not Home. I know people were praying for my sanity as well as Wesie's health because i had the most patience I ever had. I could feel something stopping me from getting angry or frustrated. There were only 2 times I lost it and they were over the same thing. The meds they orally gave Wes to help with the cramping was nasty and it got to the point I would sit on him, and while holding his arms down with my knees, pinch his nose and shove it in. Of all things to be resistant to...

Well, it is over and if it doesn't effect him as an adult, or shorten his life span WHO CARES, We're HOME and we will never drink from the cow drinker again!! 10 lbs lost and Hard lesson learned.

Weight and Sick or sick and tired

Yea: I have not gained any weight.

Boo: I have not lost any weight. It is back to my starting point....

Wesie has been admited to the hospital for who knows how long...I am going to pack a bag and stay unti he is out. I am frustrated b/c this is not how I wanted to spend my last week of maternitiy leave. I hope and pray I don't get sick too from being run down. I was up alot last night when I took my shift with Wesie. He was up every 15 mintues or so to go to the bathroom. It got to the point that he was just going when ever he cramped up even if he didn't really go. Too tired to post anything else...

Hospital Stay no fun, no sleep

We took Wesie to the ER and they decided to admit him. Scott stayed with him all day so I could do some stuff here. I went to spell him around 3. Wesie was in the bathroom every 15 minutes all day and all night. I have not slept and feel odd and tired. It is so sad. They can't give him meds for the cramping, so he whines all the time. His temp gos up and down as his body fights the infection. After talking to a couple of nurses I get the impression that we will be here for a while

baby boy is sick.

I am so tired right now. I have been up most of the night with Wesie. Something is wrong with him. It started on Wednesday around noon, when I couldn't get him to eat like he normally does. He still ate, but he was off. Thursday was ok, he hung out painted, moved things into our new room etc. He didn't feel well that night: ate only 1 boiled egg and some chicken soup. Friday day got increasingly worse, but not "go to the drs." bad. I went to this class for school and when I got back he was crying in the tub. His tummy would cramp up every hour. I sat up with him; Scott and I tried to decide what to do.
It was about then that Scott remembered to tell me that Jacob caught Wes drinking out of the cow trough last week. OH, my, what infection does he have???!!!

I decided that if he was not better by 4, somebody would take him to the hospital.

He cried and went to the bathroom every 30 minutes all night long.

You know, the Internet gives too much information to lay people. We discovered 6 things that Wes could have; especially if he had visited India in the last week. Parasites, bacteria, appendix, and stomach flu all have similar symptoms... I am waiting to hear from Scott and becoming more of a hypochondriac about the baby having the same thing.

No words...

No words can describe how I feel for and about "the situation' in our small town. I don't want to say any details- it is not not my place. I feel so sorry for everyone who has to deal with this in any way.
I feel grateful. I have an understanding of my Heavenly Father's plan for families and the eternity. I feel grateful as I have tucked my family in bed at night.
I feel scared. What is this world coming to? I hate when our little bubble is touched by unnatural tragedy as this.
I feel guilty that my family has so much in these times. We have our health (well almost) we have good jobs, we have each other for eternity, we have our good names. Many people have so many problems right now. It makes me wonder why we have been spared and for how long. Could I have been kinder or given more service in the past to make a difference today? I bet, because I am a selfish self contained person who gets so so annoyed at other's behavior.
I feel grief for friends and family members who are hurting right now.
I feel helpless because I don't know what to do; what can you do when a family feels torn apart.
I feel sorry for a little boy whose life is changed forever; and for his family.
I worry for my cute hubby, how does he feel about this? He is being very quiet and understandably so, and I worry for my little ones. How can I tell them? This is a perfect time for a parent to kid heart to heart. I want to be the one to tell her instead of the kids at school.
I pray that I can have the faith in these trying times and that I can feel the promptings to be of service to others... hope you can too.

Grateful for a pandemic: it's my best life

As I lie in my bed on day 45 of stay safe stay home, reducing the curve with masks, I am brought to tears with gratitude, over again, for th...
